CAMP NAVAJO: Characterization, Clean-Up and RCRA Closure, presented by Dana Downs-Heimes, CH2M Hill

Ms. Downs-Heimes possesses an MS in Geology from University of Missouri. She has worked on DOD sites throughout the country since 1991 with most of the time spent at the White Sands Missile Range in NM. After three grueling years with Daniel B. Stephens doing environmental litigation technical support in Albuquerque, Dana transferred to Phoenix to work for Brown and Caldwell, then transferred to work closer to home in Peoria as the IRP Manager at Luke Air Force Base from 2003-2005. At this time Dana and her husband found an unresistable dream house in Northern Arizona and simply had to move to the Flagstaff area.

Dana is currently the Site Manager for CH2M HILL for the Camp Navajo OB/OD Area Closure Program located near Belmont, AZ. Her presentation will discuss the activities associated with Camp Navajo as a site containing munitions and explosives of concern (MEC) at the former Open Burn/Open Detonation Area.
