The EPAZ Conference is a great opportunity to learn the latest regulatory updates related to Air, Soil, Water and Waste as well as share industry specific information and network among your peers.  Expected topics on our program will include regulatory & technical updates for industry, municipalities and medical facilities as it relates to AIR, WASTE & WATER, NEPA/ESA, EMERGENCY RESPONSE, EPCRA & OSHA/H&S and more.

myDEQ Workshop (included in conference fee)

This workshop is included in the conference registration and will be offered on March 7, 2019.  The workshop will be facilitated by Terry Baer, Hazardous Waste Unit Manager at ADEQ and will be interactive allowing attendees to use myDEQ online services to process permits and submit reports.  The feedback received during the  workshop will help ADEQ improve and streamline the online service.

Professional Development Workshop (additional fee applies)

This optional 4-hour workshop is being offered to conference attendees for an additional cost and will be held on March 7, 2019.  Trisha Hoffman has over 35 years of experience as a manager, training facilitator and performance consultant.  This Professional Development Workshop will focus on 4 key areas that all business professionals need regardless of industry type. 

1. Public Speaking and Presentations

  • Demonstrate effective communication skills that strengthen relationships
  • How to communicate change

2. Time Management

  • Examine effective Time Management techniques
  • Create a Personal Mission Statement

3. Dispute Resolution

Continue building relationships from over the years, while also meeting new colleagues and bridging new partnerships at our annual conference networking reception.  The reception will be held on the patio, featuring live entertainment on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.  



EPAZ is hosting a student poster competition and selected posters will be on display and judged during the conference.  The deadline to submit a topic summary and poster outline is January 4, 2019.  Cash prizes will be awarded to the 1st Place, 2nd Place and People’s Choice posters.  To learn more and to submit an entry, click here.


Encouraging students who have invested their future in the environment, EPAZ awards over $8,000 each year to graduate and undergraduate students in environmental programs in Arizona.  The deadline to submit an application is December 31, 2018 and the recipients will be announced at the conference.  To learn more and to apply online, click here.

EPAZ is hosting a logo design competition open only to EPAZ members. The deadline to enter is February 2, 2019 and the winner will win an iPad 2 and the logo will be unveiled at the conference.  To view contest rules and submit an entry, click here.
