Presented by Kimberly Butler, Maricopa County Air Quality Dept.
With growth and new industries in Maricopa County there is a need for Emission Reduction Credits. Maricopa County Air Quality Department is working on a rule to provide an avenue to certify mobile emission reduction credits. There are also a number of other rule being revised due to the recent redesignation to Moderate Non-Attainment for the 2015 Ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS). This presentation will discuss the rule changes and the RACT SIP submittal, emission reduction credits and draft rule for mobile credits, current air quality status and potential effects if the standards are changed.
After graduating from Arizona State University with a Bachelors in Geology Kimberly started with Maricopa County Air quality Department 17 years ago as an inspector. She managed the Compliance and Enforcement Division for five years. Four years ago she started managing the Planning and Analysis Division.
