In 2021, Congress passed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). Section 401081 of the BIL requires each state to develop and update an annual State Energy Security Plan (SESP) by September 30th of each year until 2025. The State of Arizona Energy Security Plan (SESP) results from collaboration between State agencies and partners, led by the Governor’s Office of Resiliency and supported by the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs (DEMA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Maren Mahoney would discuss the purpose and benefits of the SESP, the role of the Governor's office of Resiliency, cybersecurity concerns, details of the state energy landscape, coordination with tribal nations, tribal utilities, industry utilities, and federal and state agencies.
