12:00 to 1:00 PM WEBINAR Presentation
Air Quality Update
Presented by Richard Sumner, Permitting Manager, Maricopa County Air Quality Department

During the presentation we will take a look back at 2020 and see how air quality in Maricopa County was impacted by this unique year. Also, we will examine what is in store for 2021 and beyond in the areas of ozone non-attainment and air quality rules.
Richard Sumner currently serves as the Permitting Manager for the Maricopa County Air Quality Department and has been with the County since 2008. He has over 30 years of environmental experience gained in various industries such as refining, chemicals, plastics, printing and energy. Prior to joining the Air Quality Department, his last private sector position was Director of Environmental, Health and Safety at El Paso Corporation. Richard holds a BS in Civil Engineering and an MS in Environmental Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Arizona.
ANNOUNCEMENT:
Although we are hopeful that we can gather safely in person soon, the EPAZ Board of Directors have made the decision to postpone the annual conference until spring of 2022. We will continue hosting our monthly meetings via webinar for the next few months and look forward to hosting an in-person networking event as soon as CDC guidelines and member's employers allow for it.
