Monthly Meetings

EPAZ hosts monthly technical luncheon meetings on the second Monday of the month from August through June. These luncheons feature a guest speaker and presentations that are aligned with our Mission Statement "To promote leadership in environmental management through education, advancement and application of science & technology and building a strong, connected and engaged membership of environmental professionals".

Cost to Attend:

  • $30 Members
  • $40 Non-members
  • $15 Student Members (Full-time Students - proof of student ID is required)
  • $45 Walk-Ins on the day of the luncheon

Lunch: A buffet style lunch is provided to attendees. 
Note: Vegetarian or gluten-free meals are available upon request. 

Cancellation/Refund Policy:
A full refund will be given if registration is cancelled 48 hours prior to the start of the event; if within 48 hours, no refund will be given.

August Luncheon: “Industrial Hygiene – What Everyone Should Know”

About: Alexander Johnsen, M.S., CIH, CFSC 

Mr. Johnsen has over thirteen years of experience working on various construction and environmental remediation projects at residential, commercial, municipal, and government sites. With a broad clientele base ranging from individual homeowners to law firms, private contractors, and government agencies, Mr. Johnsen has worked extensively with a wide variety of environmental contaminants and cleanup procedures.

Mr. Johnsen is an American Board of Industrial Hygiene Certified Industrial Hygienist and provides expertise in comprehensive Industrial Hygiene, regulatory compliance including OSHA and EPA program compliance, mold, asbestos, chemical exposure monitoring (e.g. formaldehyde, hexavalent chromium, cadmium, etc.), waterborne pathogens (e.g., Legionella, E.coli, etc.), wildfire residue sampling assessments (soot/ash/char), illicit drug testing and remediation, and hazardous waste. As an expert, Mr. Johnsen has provided deposition and trial testimony, written expert reports, attended appraisals and arbitration hearings, and assisted colleagues with written expert reports.
