Environmental Legislative and Regulatory/Agency Updates
|
Join Amanda Reeve, Environmental & Regulatory Policy Advisor with Snell & Wilmer, & Krista Osterberg, Chief Legislative Liaison with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, as they share the highlights of the 2024 Arizona Legislative session, an overview and status of the legislation relevant to your operations, and maybe even regale you with some more entertaining “behind-the-scenes” stories. They will walk you through key legislation and help you understand the purpose of the statutory changes and impacts to you.
Amanda Reeve’s experience serving in the Arizona House of Representatives, in addition to her more than 20 years of working in the legal profession, ideally positions her as a key member of Snell & Wilmer's environmental and natural resources team. However, her passion, focus and expertise extend beyond the environmental and natural resources issues into other regulatory, policy and election-related areas. Amanda provides public policy services to clients through stakeholder identification and organization, the regulatory process and reform, and the legislative process. She is well known for her ability to develop public policy and craft bipartisan support to advance bills of significant importance to Arizona businesses.
Krista Osterberg serves as the Chief Legislative Liaison for the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ). She has worked at ADEQ for 18 years, with much of that time spent managing surface water and Clean Water Act delegated programs in the Department's Water Quality Division. She has helped author laws and regulations providing critical surface water quality protection in Arizona. Krista has her Bachelors’ of Science in Natural Resources Management and in Animal Science, as well as a Master of Science in Water Resources, from the University of Connecticut. Krista and her husband Patrick live in Mesa with their two dogs.
