Success! Setting and Achieving Environmental Goals in your Organization

Whether public or private, most organizations have environmental goals in place. Join Deb Ferraro from the City of Mesa, to learn about some creative ways the City has been increasing environmental awareness, encouraging employee engagement, and recognizing employees for implementing sustainable activities or projects. Also, learn about programs that have been developed and implemented during the past year to help Mesa meet its Climate Action Plan Goals. See the results of the programs through metrics and learn how you can apply similar programs to your organization’s operations.

Deb Ferraro is an Environmental Programs Specialist at the City of Mesa, and her responsibilities include regulatory compliance in the areas of waste, air, chemical and fuel storage, stormwater, and environmental training. Deb obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology and her Master’s in Environmental Policy and Management, both from the University of Denver. She is a LEED Accredited Professional, an ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, and has 24 years of environmental experience in the non-profit, public, and private sectors. Prior to joining the City of Mesa, Deb focused on regulatory compliance, EMS development and auditing, greening services, wellness and environmental program development and management, environmental training, grant writing, and community, government, and non-profit collaboration.

Italian Buffet with Marsala Chicken with creamy garlic fettuccine, sauteed garlic broccoli, pasta primavera, caprese salad and chef’s choice dessert.

Vegetarian or gluten-free meals are available upon request during meeting registration.
