Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA)Tier II Reporting Overview

This presentation will be an overview of EPCRA and Tier II reporting applicability to Arizona facilities. ADEQ will also discuss reporting through the new myDEQ portal including how to register your facility and instructions for Tier II reporting for the 2023 year. Learn how states and communities work with facilities to use the Tier II information to improve chemical safety and protect the public and the environment.

Arcangel Barragan, Emergency Response Unit Manager has been with ADEQ since June of 2017. He has a bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security, and has been a Hazardous Materials Specialist for over 12 years. Prior to ADEQ, he was in the United States Marine Corps, where he served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially his 2-year old son, and enjoying the outdoor adventures Arizona has to offer, to include hunting, fishing, and hiking.
